The short version: Nodus does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Your tasks stay on your device and in your private iCloud account. We have no access to them.

Who we are

Nodus is an iOS, iPadOS, and macOS application developed and maintained as an independent project. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at info.nodusapp@gmail.com.

What data Nodus stores

Nodus stores the following data locally on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, in your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit:

  • Tasks, notes, URLs, due dates, and reminders you create
  • Lists, groups, tags, and organisational preferences you set
  • Notification preferences and app settings

This data is stored entirely within Apple's infrastructure. It is associated with your Apple ID and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to it.

What data we do not collect

Nodus does not collect, transmit, or have access to:

  • Your name, email address, or any contact information
  • Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
  • Location data
  • Usage analytics or behavioural data
  • Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to us
  • Any content of your tasks or notes

Third-party services

Nodus uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external service involved in the app's operation is:

  • Apple iCloud / CloudKit — for optional sync across your devices. This is governed entirely by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/privacy.
  • Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — for local notifications you schedule. Notification content is generated on your device and never transmitted to us.

Apple Reminders import

If you choose to import tasks from Apple Reminders, Nodus requests read access to your Reminders data via Apple's EventKit framework. This import happens entirely on your device. The imported data is stored locally in Nodus and synced via your iCloud account. No data is sent to us or any third party during this process.

Children's privacy

Nodus does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. As we collect no data at all, the app is appropriate for all ages.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Nodus handles data in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. We will notify users via an app update if the change is material.
